Hello parents!
Now that the musical at Monroe has wrapped up and I’ve had a chance to come up for air again, I wanted to touch base on a few odds and ends items from the last couple of weeks:
1) I’ve provided directors with a list of who I am missing contracts and/or cast fees from. They’ll reach out to kids during rehearsal – don’t hesitate to contact them or myself if anything seems in error. If it’s a payment thing that you sent it, please try to include how the payment was sent (cash, check, venmo, etc) so we can check on our end.
2) Audition sign-ups for Cinderella are now live – www.arclightpro.com – they’re open for 14 and up, we’d especially like to see more folks 30+ as part of the cast and make it a true community show of all ages! More info for getting involved for under 14 will come in a couple weeks as I continue to get organized. We appreciate help in spreading the word!
3) Every other year at Monroe I put together a large-scale Fine Arts day trip for our band/choir students. We’ve got a few seats left on our busses and I wanted to offer these up to our Arc Light members — the trip is to Chicago on Friday, May 26th and we’ll visit the Museum of Science and Industry, Lincoln Park Zoo, Water Tower Place, and Disney’s “Aladdin” Broadway tour — $120 gets you all of those attractions plus charter bus travel through the day. If you’d like more info, shoot me an e-mail at school (jdriscoll@monroe70.org) – there’s around 19 seats left and it’s first come/first serve until we get the busses filled!
